The SNL Dissertation Award was established to honor researchers who completed outstanding research leading to their PhDs and hold the promise of making significant contributions to the field. SNL awards one Dissertation Award each year at the annual meeting. The recipient is selected from among nominations put forward by the membership.

For SNL 2025, anyone who has defended or will defend their dissertation between July 1, 2024 and September 14, 2025 can apply.

Nominations must be made by a current SNL member. Self-nominations are welcome. Nominations are open from March 17, 2025 through April 25, 2025.
